Union is strength

It is a famous proverb :

United we stand, divided we fall ten sticks together unbreakable can be broken if given to all.

Once upon a time, there lived a poor wood-cutter in a certain jungle. He was too old to work in fields then. He had three sons, all were smart and healthy yet indecent, ill-mannered, and quarrel some. The old man remained worried about them. Even on his deathbed, he used to think about them. He was worried that they were short-tempered and could cause some damage.

He knew that;

Hold fast by the covenant of Allah and be not disunited.

He wanted to teach them a lesson. He called his son one day. He ordered them to bring a bundle of sticks from the jungle. The son went to the jungle and took sticks. The old man ordered them to break the sticks. The youngest man came forward and tried to break the sticks but in vain. Then came forward the second son, he used all his energy but could not be succeeded.

You weak and willow. Be off with you. Let it be seen broken. said the eldest son.

He came with great zeal and zest, but he too, could not break the sticks, as they were strong due to union old man thought.

Strike while the iron is hot.

He said to his sons to break the sticks after spreading them. The youngest son broke all the sticks in no time Now old man said;

You have seen, that sticks were strong when they are united. They grew weak after being disunited. My sons, you will also be strong if you will be united, nobody will harm you. On the other hand, anybody can harm you if you are not united.

The sons realized the significance of union and they became united. The old man became healthy as he had no worries at all.

As poet;

If people are united for a valid and true cause, they will be successful their efforts will have no pause.
